Steps

Five practical steps

IoT4Agent Build capability progressively.

01

Deploy the sensing network

What to do
Deploy sensors, receivers and relays for the chosen use case, and connect existing equipment and systems
Ready when
Key objects stay connected and their data arrives in full
02

Establish spatial facts

What to do
Model the site and its operations, create a common object model and link each fact to its evidence
Ready when
Spatial facts can answer the core operational questions
03

Configure rule-based responses

What to do
Turn requirements with clear criteria into real-time engine rules, linking sensors and work orders
Ready when
Rules respond automatically to common exceptions
04

Introduce AI reasoning

What to do
Add explanations, coordination suggestions, task planning and workforce reports, then expand collaboration across AI capabilities
Ready when
Suggestions are adopted and useful outcomes become rules
05

Extend to more sites

What to do
Capture industry templates and rule sets, then apply them to more sites and use cases
Ready when
New sites follow proven templates and reuse experience from elsewhere

Each step delivers value on its own. Sensing makes the site visible, spatial facts make the data usable, and rules reduce manual response. By the time AI reasoning is introduced, the facts and rules are already in place.

Scope

Initial scope

Expand once the results have been confirmed.

Transport coordination

Initial scope
One district or route
Success measures
Waiting time at loading points, on-time transport and vehicle trips

Retail performance

Initial scope
One shop or service branch, for one month
Success measures
Commitments completed on time and repeat customer enquiries

Asset utilisation & allocation

Initial scope
One warehouse or floor, and one asset category
Success measures
Time spent finding assets, days off site, shortages and overdue returns

Equipment rental operations

Initial scope
One project and one equipment category
Success measures
Equipment idle time, working-time discrepancies and allocation response time

Work coordination

Initial scope
One building or warehouse zone
Success measures
Team waiting time, the gap between material delivery and use, and work starting on schedule

Subcontractor performance

Initial scope
One project and one settlement period
Success measures
Missing records, reconciliation discrepancies and settlement disputes

Facilities & asset inventory

Initial scope
One housing estate or building, and one type of facility
Success measures
Inventory time, handover discrepancies and repairs completed within warranty

Coordinated inspections

Initial scope
One area and one inspection route
Success measures
Inspection coverage, missed checkpoints and gaps in staffing

Safety & care

Initial scope
One floor or work area
Success measures
Time to respond to requests for help and overnight incidents

Environmental monitoring & response

Initial scope
One warehouse zone or building
Success measures
Excursions beyond limits, their duration and time to recovery
Measure

Check results against agreed indicators

Agree the success measures and record a baseline before starting. Compare subsequent results using the same definitions.

Each improvement has a documented baseline, approach and comparison method. Results can be traced and checked.

Prepare

Agree before the project starts

No site alterations

Deploy into your existing site without rewiring, alterations or interrupting operations. Attach, wear or position sensors and plug in the receivers. Quantities and installation locations are agreed after a site survey.

Connect existing systems

Each project connects only the data relevant to its operational goals, such as vehicle, dispatch and weighing records. Agree the systems, fields and update frequencies before the project starts. Every record identifies its source and last update.

Permissions and authorisation

Account permissions are set by role. Rule-based actions run only within the organisation's authorised scope. Decisions requiring approval are confirmed by the person responsible.

No punitive scoring or fines

Records support work coordination and reconciliation, not punitive performance scoring or fines. Explain what is recorded and how it will be used before deployment.

Delivery and support from Lindos

Lindos delivers the sensors, Lindos OS, system integrations and operational support. Lindos provides remote support; on-site support is agreed for each project.
