Facilities & asset inventory

Deploy into existing sites without rewiring, alterations or interrupting operations

During an inventory check, Lindos OS compares locations reported by asset tags with the asset register and highlights discrepancies, reducing counting time.

Scenario

How a decision becomes action

Gather data → Check inventory → Flag discrepancies → Review results

Outcomes
  • ↓Check time
  • ↑Accuracy
Where it applies
  • Public housing
  • Business parks & office buildings
  • Fixed assets
What changes

Before & after

Today

Facilities and assets are numerous and spread across many locations. Inventory checks require visits to each unit and location, while handovers require item-by-item verification. A moved or missing asset may not be discovered until the next inventory check.

With Lindos OS

Each asset carries a tag that reports its location at regular intervals. The system compares these reports with the asset register and lists discrepancies for review. Unusual movement, a geofence crossing or a lost signal immediately alerts the property manager and security gate. A maintenance technician is assigned to check tags that have stopped reporting.

Example notification
Lindos OS | NotificationUnit 2-301 washing machine

The washing machine from Unit 2-301 has left the building and crossed the geofence.

Suggested action:Ask gate security to stop the removal and notify the property manager.

Based on: asset tag location, geofence rules, tamper records and the asset register.

Outcomes

Expected outcomes

Success measures
  • ↓Inventory time
  • ↑Register accuracy
  • ↓Handover discrepancies
  • ↓Assets lost
Who it serves
Asset managers and property managers
Initial scope
One housing estate or building, and one type of facility

Measure outcomes consistently: agree the indicators and record a baseline before starting, then compare results using the same definitions.

How it works

How it works

Collect → Assess → Coordinate

Assets report their location

Tags report location at regular intervals, so inventory checks focus on discrepancies.

Compare automatically with the asset register

Compare reported locations with the register and list each mismatch.

Notify teams immediately when an issue arises

Alert the responsible manager and gate security to unusual movement, geofence crossings and lost signals.

Typical use cases

Facilities and asset management for public housingHousing & business parksGive each item a record covering handovers, inventory checks and maintenance.
Today

Each public housing unit contains furniture and appliances, adding up to thousands of items across an estate. Handovers require item-by-item checks, inventory checks require visits to individual units, and maintenance depends on access to service history.

With Lindos OS

Each item receives an asset tag and a record of its unit, handover dates and number of repairs. Tags report their presence regularly, and these reports are checked against the records during inventory reviews. Lindos OS flags items approaching warranty expiry or scheduled replacement and prompts teams to arrange maintenance or replacement.

How it works
  1. A record for every itemKeep unit location, handover dates and maintenance history together.
  2. Check inventory against asset recordsCompare tag presence with asset records without rebuilding the register.
  3. Plan ahead for warranty expiry and replacementIdentify items approaching warranty expiry or their scheduled replacement date.
Questions

Common questions

Does the site need alterations?

No. Deploy into your existing site without rewiring, alterations or interrupting operations. Attach, wear or position the sensors and plug in the receivers. Quantities and locations are agreed after a site survey.

How small can we start?

Start with one estate or building and one category of facilities. Review the results before deciding whether to expand.

How are results measured?

Before starting, both parties agree on measures such as inventory check time, asset register accuracy, handover discrepancies and assets lost. Record the baseline, then compare results using the same definitions.

Can I be notified when an asset is removed?

Yes. Unusual movement, a geofence crossing or a lost signal immediately alerts the responsible manager.

Do we need to connect existing systems?

Connect existing systems as needed, such as asset registers and property management systems. Agree the integration scope before the project starts.

Who provides operational support?

Lindos delivers the sensors, Lindos OS, system integrations and operational support. Lindos provides remote support; on-site support is agreed for each project.
